MIUI 10 Oreo Update For Redmi 5A [Stable]

The Xiaomi Redmi 5A one of the best-selling Android smartphones in the world. We noted in our review of the Redmi 5A that the device launched with MIUI 9 on top of Android 7.1 Nougat, but we weren’t certain if the device would receive an official Android Oreo update. Last month, Xiaomi rolled out MIUI 10 Global Stable for the Redmi 5A, but again the software was based on Android 7.1 Nougat. Now, however, the company is releasing an updated version of MIUI 10 Global based on Android 8.1 Oreo.As noted in the official Mi forum post, the update is being pushed randomly to select users. The update is technically a “beta” of the Global Stable release, but if all goes well the same update will be released more widely. However, thanks to XDA Recognized Developer yshalsager, we have the full OTA link of the Android 8.1 Oreo update which you can download now. You can install it via MIUI Updater in settings or by flashing it via TWRP if you have an unlocked bootloader.
